What it is.
The script pulls yesterday's account statistics, appends them to a linked spreadsheet, and mails an HTML table. Cost, average CPC, click-through rate, search impression share, impressions, and clicks are the default columns, and the list is editable.
Schedule it daily at 3am or later. Google Ads statistics can be delayed up to 3 hours, and an earlier run reports numbers that move under you.
What you get.
- A daily HTML email with yesterday's account-level numbers.
- A Google Sheet that accumulates the same rows, so you get a trend line without a BI tool.
- An editable metric list, so you can add conversions or drop impression share.
- Search impression share alongside cost and click-through rate in the same row.
How to set it up.
Copy the template spreadsheet linked from the solution page into your own Drive.
Create a new script in Google Ads under Tools, then Bulk actions, then Scripts.
Paste your copied spreadsheet URL into the spreadsheet_url variable.
Edit the metric list if you want conversions or conversion value in the email.
Schedule it daily at 3am or later, since Google Ads statistics can be delayed up to 3 hours.
Preview once, confirm the sheet gets a row, and check how the email reads on a phone.
Use cases
Yesterday in one email
Get the account numbers before the first meeting of the day.
Build a trend without a dashboard
Let the sheet accumulate rows until the shape of the month is visible.
Spot an impression share drop
Read the daily figure and check the budget before a competitor takes the slot.
Best for
A daily habit without a dashboard
One email beats a report nobody opens, especially for an account one person owns.
Clients who want a paper trail
The sheet accumulates every day on its own, so month-end reporting is a pivot away.
Catching spend spikes early
A cost column read every morning surfaces a runaway campaign faster than a weekly review does.
