GoodUI

What it is.

GoodUI.org is a project by Jakub Linowski from Toronto, Canada, who also designs experiments for clients. The site states 141 patterns based on 635 tests. Contributors send in the winning and losing experiments that feed it.

The email promise is up to 1 email per week with new UI patterns and A/B test results. Each pattern page sets an A variant against a B variant and lists how many times the idea has been tested.

Browsing is free, and effect percentages stay hidden behind a join prompt, so the numbers sit inside membership.

What you get.

  • A weekly email of newly logged UI patterns and test results
  • Pattern pages with the A and B variants set side by side
  • A test count on every pattern page
  • A leaks section tracking experiments spotted on live sites
  • Filters by screen and by metric for finding tests near your problem
OUR PICKS

Editions we'd start with.

Pattern #113: More Or Fewer Plans ↗

Several tests on plan counts, including a three plan versus two plan pricing page.

Pattern #20: Canned Response ↗

A dozen tests on prefilled and editable responses, from gift messages to cancellation letters.

Strengths
  • The site states 141 patterns based on 635 tests, each pattern carrying its own test count
  • Jakub Linowski designs experiments for clients, and the site says so on the front page

Limitations
  • Effect percentages are hidden until you join, so free browsing gives direction without the numbers
  • Weighted toward ecommerce and signup flows, with less for long B2B enterprise cycles
  • Some logged tests carry dates from 2024 and earlier
  • No subscriber count is published
